Joseph Velocci

Joe is the managing member of JVA Accountants and Advisors. Joe is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the states of Florida and New Jersey. He is also a Charted Global Managerial Accountant (CGMA). A graduate of Seton Hall University and with over 39 years of experience, Joe has assisted both large and small business with accounting and tax services. He has assisted many companies from being a small start up company to very profitable large company. As a CPA, Joe heads up our accounting and auditing department. As a CGMA, Joe provides our clients with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) services by which he and our staff provide record keeping, payroll management invoicing and billing services. In addition to those services he provides cashflow management, forecasting and advisory services. In his spare time Joe enjoys woodworking, classic car restoration and fishing to name a few. He has four adult children that he is very proud of and his greatest treasure is his two grandchildren.

Anthony Velocci

Anthony joined JVA Accountants & Advisors after receiving a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Rowan University in 2011, eventually becoming a partner in 2019. Anthony holds a CPA license in New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Anthony is passionate about establishing long-term working relationships with clients, partnering closely with small business owners to overcome challenges and assist them in managing their finances. Anthony is also a proud husband to his wife Kelly and father to his two young children, Lorenzo and Adrianna. In his spare time, he enjoys watching baseball and football (Mets & Giants), traveling, and spending time with his kids.

Nancy Colucco

Nancy joined the firm as a partner in January 2021. She is a New Jersey and Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant with over thirty years of experience in public accounting, servicing individuals and businesses alike. Her extensive background covers a full range of tax entities (corporations, partnerships, non-profit, and limited liability companies), jurisdictions (federal, state, and multi-state taxes) and business industries. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. Nancy is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Roxbury Chamber of Commerce. Nancy and her husband Bob live in Hopatcong. She enjoys spending time with her children, family, and grandson. She also enjoys reading, baseball, football, exercising, golfing and spending time on the lake.

Judy Gensel

Judy joined the JVA Accountants and Advisors team in 2021. She has been working in the field as an Administrative Assistant for over nine years. As Administrative Assistant she is the first contact in our Succasunna office handling our clients’ questions and scheduling. She assists with bookkeeping and sales tax filings in multiple states for our small business clients.   She approaches all aspects of any job with a positive, hard-working mindset, and is passionate about helping find solutions to any challenges.  She is excited to bring her experience and enthusiasm to the team at JVA Accountants and Advisors and to our clients. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and summers by the pool.

JoAnn Weber

JoAnn has been an integral part of JVA Accountants & Advisors since 2014 as the Office Manager of the Denville, New Jersey location. JoAnn manages the day to day operations of the office, handling all of the tax return processing as well as the bookkeeping and payroll for several businesses. Prior to joining JVA Accountants and Advisors, JoAnn held positions as a real estate Paralegal and a commercial Property Manager for over 20 years where she gained valuable experience which has contributed to her continued success in her current role.  JoAnn is married to her husband Kevin, and is a devoted mother and grandmother to her three grown daughters and her six grandchildren.

Alan Levitas

Alan recently joined the firm as a Senior Accountant. Alan comes to us with more than 40 years of accounting and tax experience. He graduated from Seton Hall University and he has a passion for tax planning and preparation. Married to Bernadette, they have four children and two Golden Retrievers.
